Animated News is basically a new feature, proposed by the student’s supervisor that is to be implemented into one of SPH’s existing mobile applications. The 3D character model will represent an interactive chatbot within an existing SPH mobile application. It will be a personal assistant to the user, reading out news for them, by utilizing text-to-speech functionality.

The purpose of this project is to enhance the user experience by making the app more interactive with the addition of the Animated News feature.

The 3D model was modelled, rigged and animated in Autodesk Maya. The app was coded in Xcode using Swift.
